A narrow gage John Deere tractor with a front end Clemens attachment is used to remove weeds from under Pinot Noir vines. This replaces the need for chemical herbicides that destroys the soil and the environment.
A healthy spring cover crop provides a diversified habitat for the beneficial insects which provide a balanced ecosystem in our vineyards. The cover crop is then cultivated under providing a rich source of green manure adding to the soil fertility and nutrients for the Pinot Noir vines
